She had a black eye and had multiple cuts and bruises all over her body.Her live-in boyfriend, Jeremy Floyd, 39, had beaten her up and threatened her at gunpoint on Wednesday, preventing her from leaving home. -

But when she convinced him that she needed to bring their dog to the vet, he insisted on going with her armed with a loaded gun. -

When she arrived at DeLand Animal Hospital, she asked to go the bathroom, leaving the dog with her boyfriend. She stealthily slipped a note to a vet staff member telling her of the dangerous situation she was in.The staff member immediately called the authorities and police were quickly on the scene. When police arrived, they arrested Floyd and confiscated his gun. Floyd, who is a convicted felon, repeatedly battered Reichle, physically prevented her from leaving the house, and threatened her at gunpoint. -

On Wednesday night, the two reportedly were fighting over the gun causing it to discharge inside the house. Authorities investigated the home and found two bullet holes in a hallway which passed through the drywall. Reichle was then brought to Florida Hospital DeLand where she was treated for multiple injuries.Floyd was charged with domestic violence: aggravated assault with a firearm, false imprisonment, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon and simple battery. He remains in custody at the Volusia County Branch Jail with no bail allowed.
